Richmond Hill

by Espirito Santo Architecture

This Project is a first floor flat within a six-storey mid-terrace Victorian property occupying a prominent site over-looking the Richmond Terrace Walk along Richmond Hill. The property is designated as a ‘Building of Townscape Merit’ overlooking the river landscape from the hillside above.

The flat was a poorly constructed 80s conversion. The Client wanted to refurbish the property, improve the layout, replace the single glazed windows, install new services, new acoustic floors and ceilings, new bathroom, new kitchen, joinery etc with careful reinstatement of period detailing and contemporary additions. The client also worked from home and wanted built in joinery where the computers could be hidden from view when not in use.

As the project is in a Conversation Area, Planning Permission was sought to replace the windows and French doors.

CLIENT: For a private client
PROJECT SIZE: Overall floorspace 91sqm
